My third is very good!
1 of 1 found this helpful The first two were unacceptable/highly problematic and were returned. IDK what's up with Moog's quality control but the issues with the first two units should have been noticed and the units pulled and corrected as necessary. Sweetwater was GREAT. I called them and they immediately two day aired me the replacement both times. Couple things with the third; you have to press the black keys about twice as hard as the white keys to activate atfertouch which is, so far been almost two weeks, really difficult to use because you may just want a little vibrato via aftertouch but you have to push so hard on the black keys you can't just get a little, not when you're used to the white ones and then you play too hard on the white keys. I'm thinking I'll simply not be able to use the aftertouch or simply MIDI into it with my Yamaha EX5 and see how aftertouch works with it. And the keybed's not wonderful as it is in general. The LCD screen feels like you could easily put your finger/thumb through it. It sounds great though and would get 5 stars if it weren't for the key bed. It's really worth it for the sound. It's unfortunate about all the issues though. Buy one from Sweetwater and return it until you get a good one if needed

Absolutely can't beat it.
2 of 2 found this helpful I'm an old guy and gigged with a Moog Model D and an Arp 2600 in the 1970's and '80's. The Matriarch is everything they were and a whole lot more. I'm stoked! Wonderful Keith Emerson and Isao Tomita modular tonality. Hands down best synth being manufactured. The possibilities of high quality analog creations are truly endless.
