Tung Sol 6L6 GC Tubes
I purchased these matched Tung-sols to replace the tubes in a Fender Showman. While I know that the original RCA Black Plate Tubes are highly sought after, they are simply too expensive and hard to find. There are a few other tubes that receive high ratings, but these Tung- sols are readily available and they hit all the marks for quality, they sound good and they last longer than some of the lesser known Chinese and Russian tubes. Tone is such a relative term. . It is very subjective to try and compare what "sounds' good to a persons ears.

Vast improvement over the Old technology.
2 of 2 found this helpful The stock Epiphone bridge that I replaced was made of Pot metal casting and was very soft. The strings had cut grooves across every radius and had formed notches in the top sections which made the strings sound dead or like a sitar. Consequently, i had a great deal of difficulty in tuning stability and intonation. The New bridge is of a higher quality Chrome-plated Brass or Zinc metal and with each individually adjustable saddle, it makes perfect intonation effortless.
