DJI Smart Controller ads comfort and confidence to flight.
Although expensive, the DJI Smart Controller is far superior to the standard controller. Unfortunately I did not purchase as a combo with the Mavic 2 but purchased separately. In any case, it is a solid build that fits the hands better, far better screen and no hassle of fiddling with attaching a smart phone. I have had no issues with updates and can tether to my iPhone during flight for map updates if needed. I have no plans to ever go back to the standard controller as there is no comparison between the two.
