Great
So small, simple, cheap and convenient. Charges any Lipo battery to 4.2v (4.17v actually) and protects it all the way down to 3.0v then turns off and allows charging by any USB charger. Perfect.

Good battery
I'm not sure if this is a genuine battery or not but I'm glad to report the battery is lasting well over a week now in the remote. My old battery was dying so quick I could sometimes get a single day but 2 days was not possible. And that's even in standby mode most of the time. I measured the capacity of my old battery and it was 112mAh. I measured this battery and it holds 966mAh so it's ABOVE what it's rated for which odds great

Not water proof
The whole idea of a waterproof 12v socket for a boat is so that it's waterproof. This thing is NOT waterproof. It still works but after opening the package you can clearly see the inside of the unit from the outside. It's not watertight at all so it'll let all the salt water inside.
