Amazing DVR
Ever since this purchase, TiVo has become somewhat of a household staple for us. The UI is snappy, responsive, and very simple. The exclusive TiVo features are great, we especially enjoy the SKIP function when watching pre recorded content. The tuner is also quite good getting the same if not better performance than any other tv in my home. Streaming video apps are also nice add ons, though you may still want to invest in a Roku as this is one of the few things TiVo does not do well. Overall, the TiVo Roamio is an amazing cable and antenna DVR with many features that are a must have for many. Note that there is a service fee, whether you pay it monthly, yearly, or just buy their all in service and pay one lump sum. For many, the service fee is well worth it, others may find it as a huge turnoff.
