Fits Sthil FS38 BUT...
1 of 1 found this helpful This Product does fit My Sthil FS38 BUT, only with a modification by yourself... I read another review about these bump heads and this person was SPOT ON in what they wrote... The C-clip retainer and the original nut in the original Sthil bump head must be taken out of the old bump head and the existing Spring C-clip and nut taken out of the Stens Bump Head and then put the Sthil nut and Spring C-clip into this Stens bump head for it to function properly... Once this is done, the bump head works as good as the Original...If you don’t? The head will NOT “BUMP” to allow the spool to release more trimmer line... If you don’t feel comfortable or mechanically inclined enough to go through this process? I recommend just buying an actual and Original Sthil bump head Replacement...
