not for DSLR, great lens and good price.
2 of 2 found this helpful I gave this all 5 stars because if i was able to use it on my DSLR i would have been extremely happy but its a video lens and DONT BUY FOR YOUR CANON DSLR!!

Great DSLR from Canon, Nikon D3200 is same price with better options
This is a great starter camera. a step up from my canon powershot. I would have liked the LCD to rotate or flip. but that comes with the T5i version. Could buy a package deal and get the camera a little cheaper or even with 75-300 mm lens

incompatible with d5300. only useful in battery pack on left side.
I am able to use it in my battery pack but it says not compatible with this camer when inserted in the slot next to sensor or inside the camera itself. Spend a little more and buy a real nikon battery.
