12000LM XPE Q5 +COB LED Flashlight 14500/AA 4 modes Pocket Clip Torch Light Mini
25 January 2018
I was amazed at the power of this little torch.
It's small, runs on a single AA battery, and it's lightweight. If clipped (for example) onto the collar of a T-shirt, it's bright enough to illuminate whatever you're doing. The COB light is VERY effective. The coaxial CREE torch, while slightly less effective, is still pretty good. Either torch works very well, but to get them BOTH in this relatively tiny package - and at such a low price - is amazing. An absolute "Must Have" for your pocket, handbag, glove compartment...Because it's small and cheap enough to just put ready for use whenever you need illumination.
Tempered Glass Film Screen Protector Cover For Leagoo T5
22 November 2018
Great value, well packaged.
The phone came with a screen-protector already factory-fitted. Unaccountably, something caused it to rack (better the protector than the screen itself!) I needed a replacement, and this "two for one" deal was very good. I was impressed by the quality (and robustness) of the packaging; which meant that the (two) screen savers reached me in perfect condition. (they may be "explosion proof", but they are NOT flexible.)

Affordable intro into the Mac world
I've been thinking about getting a Mac for nearly 20 years, simply to see what all the fuss was about. I thought the spec of the eMac looked OK, so took a punt, and won my auction at a price of £26. (Note to prospective bidders: the eMac weighs nearly 50lbs. Go for one on sale locally, and collect it, or be saddled with a whopping delivery charge!) PCs are my "thing", so my first reaction to the system was to see what can be upgraded (this is a six year old system; a 6 year old PC is effectively scrap!) First - in fact main - upgrade was to the RAM. eMacs use EXACTLY the same kind of RAM as IBM PCs (it just costs more if there's an Apple logo on it!) Out went the single 256meg stick, in went TWO 1,024meg sticks. Apple official manuals say that the machine can only take 1 Gigabyte... they're wrong! Note that Apple made two significantly different eMacs over a period of time. Later models (like mine!) have USB2 sockets and 1.3Mhz or 1.42Mhz processors, earlier ones have slower processors (700Mhz or 800Mhz) The older, slower models aren't worth getting, the newer ones ARE, and compare favourably with much newer PCs. The eMac can run all but one version of OS X: it CAN'T handle the latest one ("Snow Leopard") I rapidly upgraded my eMac to OS X 10.5 (Just "Leopard") Note to purchasers: OS X, by default, password protects the computer. Make sure that the vendor either gives you the password or changes it to one YOU've chosen before taking delivery, or almost ANY changes you may want to make will be blocked! Some of the eMacs Apple sold came with DVD writers, and some with the cheaper "Combo Drives". Combo drives can read or write to CDs, but can't write DVDs - they can only READ DVDs. Hence my second upgrade: replace the Combo Drive with a compatible DVD writer (one that can reliably handle "dual layer" DVDs) And that led, in rapid succession to my third upgrade: purchase of a "Tilt'n'Swivel" stand, which lifts the system a couple or three inches off the desk and allows the DVD drawer to pop-out without fouling on the keyboard. Out of the box and "as is", the eMac is a neat little machine. The built-in 17" monitor is of high quality, so are the diminuitive stereo speakers. Drop a video DVD into the machine, and it'll play automatically. There's also a built-in "Dial-up" modem (i.e. NOT Broadband!) an email client and the "Safari" web browser. SO (without any upgrades!) my £26 bought me a machine that will handle email, websurfing, and plays audio and video CDs and DVDs. I liked it so much that I decided to buy one for my niece. I got the second one for just £6.50. I've described what it can do... Being able to do all that for just £6.50 seems incredible. Note: eMacs are SUPPOSED to connect to WiFi networks using the (typically overpriced) additional "Airport" cards ("Airport Extreme", for later models like mine) but there are plenty of USB WiFi "Dongles" on EBay, priced at around a fiver, which work perfectly well - although you may have to use Google to find OSX drivers for them.
