Awesome NC, a tad too hi-fi sounding for my taste
1 of 1 found this helpful It sounds like a super hi-fi pair of cans. But I guess that's what your expect from Sony, and what most people may actually prefer over the arguably more pro-audio sounding Boses. Main complaint is that the bass is overrepresented, not clear and inaccurately balanced. The equalizer from the onboard DSP can make it sounds better, but at a noticable expense of overall sounds quality.
The noise cancellation is amongst the best I've ever heard and is in the league with Bose's QC35 and Sony's own WH-X1000M2.
Touch controls take some getting used to, especially the volume slider was better implemented on the Parrot Zik. On the Sony, it feels like a sliding move, but it only changes volume by 1 point regardless the motion.
Overall, I'd rate these cans a solid 4/5, and would say that they're arguably the best in their price range.
