History comes alive!
7 Disks that will keep you enthralled from beginning to end. The storytelling is engaging and the heroism of the Roosevelts is brought to life in a truthful and respectful manner. I learned so much about American history from these DVDs!

A Very Long Engagement
1 of 1 found this helpful Very intense piece about a love that transends time and the dispair of war. The character development and cinemetography are lush. The sub plots are amazing with supporting actresses Marion Collard (Academy Award winner for La Vie en Rose) plus Jodie Foster (speaking flawless French!) only add to the depth of this production. The subtitles do not detract from the movie. Every time I watch AVLE, I get more out of it. It is the gold standard. "Atonement" tries to emulate it and falls way short.
