2002's "Emerald Way" Simply Excellent
"Emerald Way," by well-known and established 2002, is simply magnificent, hands down. It represents some of their finest work. Their hallmark "sound" is evident in this CD, but rather than statically revolving around their already distinctive style, this collection of songs extends their scope, and brings in new sound horizons for them. Practically anyone would find all of them simply beautiful, but two stand out--track number 4, "Emerald Way" (the namesake of the CD), and number 9--"Traveler Winds." The pieces simply spirit the listener away, to whatever peaceful haven is personally important to them. (The music does not station itself with any particular "portrait," but has that rare musical quality (hard to describe specifically, but all music lovers know it) to transport the listener to a place of peace and serenity, simply because it is so beautiful.) Listening to the tracks lets the mind wander and create its own visions of what must match the incredible music; on the other hand, at any moment, the music itself is the centerpiece, without any preconceived notions of what inspired it. Anyone who loves beautiful music would enjoy this CD. It transcends "New Age," "Atmospheres" or whatever musical category it might be placed in at first glance. Let's conclude with a message to 2002--Congratulations for creating such a magnificent collection, and from 2002 fans and music lovers everywhere--thank you. "Emerald Way" is certainly one of your masterpieces.

Dolly's Classic Album "9 to 5" Timeless
This CD is plain fun! The Dolly classic "9 to 5" is the centerpiece, but all the tracks on this CD are enjoyable. Both "Hushaby Hardtimes" and "Poor Folks Town" are upbeat tunes that tell of seeing life through positive lenses. While most of the CD's songs are definitely upbeat, there are some great tracks that address the darker side of life--"Deportee" is the touching memorial to the crash at Los Gatos canyon, which candidly recalls how the victims were so cruelly categorized ("just deportees"); Dolly's rendition of "House of the Rising Sun," has some slight rearrangement and better wording, in my opinion, than many of this song's various iterations that have appeared over the years. To recap, this CD is simply a classic, and has tracks that anyone who loves good music, let alone Parton fans, will thoroughly enjoy. Although it is a fun revisit to the 1980s (and the runaway hit movie "9 to 5"), it does not sound dated, and the feel is still as fresh as when the album was released. Kudos to Dolly!
New HAYWARD 500 Aqua Bug Above Ground Swimming Pool Cleaner AquaBug w/Hoses

Awesome Product
The AquaBug is a must have. I have purchased two now (had the first for many years (9, 10?) until the poor thing literally wore out). It makes easy work of keeping a pool clean, and it's just fun too (guests are fascinated to see it shuffling along the bottom of the pool, and children love it). Although there seem to be a lot of notations on the Web about not using the device in an Intex pool, we have done so for a long time in a couple of different Intex models, without a hitch (we didn't use Intex's pump filters though... they're ridiculously small for the larger pools). Have a different type of above ground pool now, and the AquaBug just hums along in it, too. At any rate, this product is ingenious in it's engineering (have to admit taking the old one apart to help it run a bit longer), and they are very well made. I wouldn't do with one.
