Historically Significant
This series, while entertaining, provides a historical perspective to the Second World War like no other film that I have witnessed. War and Remembrance is second only to The World at War, a documentary of the entire war. This film should be required viewing for all who hold history of conflicts to necessary for learning from human error. Usually, after having read the book prior to viewing the film one will usually find that the book portrayed the story in greater detail, however, in this instance I found the film as every bit as accurate and entertaining as the written word.
