Opinion of "No Second Place Winner"
1 of 1 found this helpful When this book was written it was probably the best there was available at that time. There is no doubt that Bill Jordan was a hero and should be remembered that way. He was a legend and should remain one. I admire what he did and the legacy he left behind. I admire him greatly. My disappointment in the book is that Bill did not explain or describe how he was so fast and how he got that way. Yes, I know "practice, practice and more practice" is mostly the answer, but no matter how much I or most any other person practices, we cannot match Bill's speed and accuracy.
I wanted to know how he did it. I like BIll's attitude and professionalism toward his job and his advice about "there should be no remorse when a violent criminal has been shot" by a law enforcement officer. Someone must hold that "Thin Blue Line" and Bill did it wonderfully. Too bad our society doesn't allow it to be done Bill's way today.
