Quality Net
Might appear a bit expensive, but it’s a quality piece of kit. Very lightweight due to the carbon construction. From a very compact starting point, it’s amazing how much length the handle extends to (even though you know how far it’s meant to extend!) and it does it with ease. Took a bit of getting used to retracting it in the right order to get it back to its fully retracted position; to be honest, that’s my only complaint…not having some basic instructions. Only been on the one brief river outing and blanked, so yet to get feedback from the fish, but the rubber mesh is good quality and hopefully they’ll appreciate it’s fish friendliness!

Did already own a couple of pairs of these and bought more for some of my other rods. I’ve tried a few different types of tip protectors and these are my favourite as they are generally very secure if you tighten the Velcro fastening tightly. As I use my rod sling frequently, these are ideal for protecting rod tips and hook lengths.

This is the third one of these reel pouches I’ve bought and they’re extremely well padded and comfortably fit my Shimano 10000 baitrunners, even with the handle unfolded. Great that they Velcro to each other to stop the rods moving in my rod sling. Nothing I can fault about them and you’d be hard-pressed to find a better reel pouch out there.
