Ugly Stik Gx2 7' spinning rod
2 of 2 found this helpful The price is on the lower end for rods and maybe I expected more because of the other reviews posted.
Looking down the "spine" of the rod you can see that the rod is not straight. It's kinked to the left and then right towards 3/4 the rod tip. Just ugly. Hence the name?
As I snugly tightened the reel seat down I heard a crack, it's made of cheap plastic, it did not bust off but it didn't sound good.
I think that the quality control is way off on this one.
I will not purchase another of the same rod nor would I recommend it to anyone.

Penn Spinfisher SSV 3500 Saltwater Spinning Reel
2 of 2 found this helpful I'm happy with my purchase. I also have the Spinfisher SSV 6500 and am very happy with that reel. I wanted something much smaller for my girlfriend to fish with. Loaded it with 15lb power pro. The reel came packed with grease which is a good sign. I will update this in the future.
