The hook is too big so when it's hooked in the side it hits the cable on the spool which will lead to a damaged cable. The 2nd hook has the thread go

The hook is too big so when it's hooked in the side it hits the cable on the spool which will lead to a damaged cable. The 2nd hook has the thread going too far down the screw so when tightened up it pinches the pulley preventing it from turning freely. It also has intermittent electrical connection when lowering it causing the motor to keep momentarily stopping resulting in a very rough decent which could lead to damaging everything - motor, bearings and the load.
