Smoking in the Boys Room is a treasure trove of technique and mouth watering recipes from a master.
I’ve been watching the author on BBQ Showdown and really appreciated the depth of her technical knowledge, the chemistry and physics of the cooking process. Her book is great! Wonderful photos, explanations and super (not necessarily simple) recipes. I haven’t cooked any yet but just the recipe for “Mother Sauce” and Baked Beans is worth what I paid. I’m impressed. And hungry!

So Many Roads
2 of 2 found this helpful I think this is a wonderful historic compilation that captures the arc of the Grateful Dead through so many epochs of epiphanic ascent and evolution. It's packaged in an elegant box that includes a booklet of articles sharing points of view of the bands triumphs and challenges. Even the producers point out the daunting difficulty of rendering the vaults of recordings into 5 CDs. I've got all five stacked in my car player and have teared up several times with memories of shows and eras. Love it.

Tripod tip for cane
I took a fall because the former little rubber tip on my cane slipped on some algae while I was seeking cover from the rain. This tripod tip is great. It is billed as allowing your cane to stand by itself. I find, by far, the benefit is greatly improved stability and confidence. The center bears solidly down on the walkway surface and the three additional feet add very substantial non slip stability. I am not aware of any additional weight and it is relatively unobtrusive. It took all of twenty seconds to fit it solidly on my cane with no modification. It also has a little flex and give which really helps with the steps and hillsides of my home. I am a happy customer.
