Good Idea - very bad instructions for the most part.

Great photographs - super ideas, but the instructions are extreme - way too wordy and seem to be written by someone that had never quilted. She goes into so much detail in the instructions that you almost have to have someone else read them to you so you can follow them, as they are lengthy and not easily understood. I have been quilting for over 50 years and never run into such drivel in instructions - simpler wording would make it easier to follow. I bought this book for ideas on one fabric Lone Stars and it did give me good photos to look at - to see the bad and the good examples of what kinds of fabric to use. Some of her fabric examples were deplorable, but did act as a caution to not use that sort of fabric. Her measurements and instructions for making the star sections were excellent - it is too bad that the step by step instructions were so cloaked in mystery and blathering on and on.
