40gb 3rd Gen. Apple iPod

As far as Apple products are concerned, there is a new one out (it seems) every 6 months. This is the 3rd Generation of Apple iPods and is not the best, but it is not the worst by any means. The iPod storage itself is an actual hard drive (rather than being a pumped up flash drive like the newer models). You can replace hard drives, but when a flash drive goes out, you're in deep doo-doo. The battery is decent, but nothing special. Older models will need replacements as they drain rather quickly. Sound is pretty good as there is a slew of equalizer settings, even a manual one. Overall I'd rate this unit at a 7/10 due to its functionality, size, battery life, and appeal. Save a bit of money and get a cheap one on eBay as everyone is going "iPod touch" crazy. (They will leave these units to those that want music functionality and a decent storage capacity).

Nintendo Wavebird Wireless Controller

Branded by Nintendo, this is by far the best controller (both wired or wireless) available for the gamecube. Perfect connection via the receiver in combination with the (AA battery powered) controller offers one of the best gaming experiences out there. Response time is top notch, controller is compatible with both the Gamecube and Wii, and can be found for under $30. Not bad considering you can sit across the room and play your favorite games on two different systems with this thing. :) 10/10!
