30amp power wire required.
To connect the heater to automotive electrics (12v) a 30amp capacity wire with in-line fuse is required to be attached to the auxillary battery or the vehicle electrical system. Any lower amperage wire will overheat quickly and melt the wire. The leakage switch and wiring attached to the heater at assembly seems to operate safely.
