ASUS M2N-SLI DELUXE MOTHERBOARD TESTED
10 May 2016
This mobo has outlasted any I've ever had
For anyone considering this motherboard: I've had this motherboard for nine years now. NINE YEARS. It's still fast, it still handles most of what I throw at it, and it keeps on rolling! When I first bought this mobo nine years ago, I had a bit of a problem with it. The RAM had to be on a specific list and even then, after a fresh install of WinXP, I got a few BSOD. BUT, after updating the BIOS in 2008, NO problems! I now have a quad-core AMD CPU running at 2.31 GHz, 8GB of RAM, and 64-bit Win7 and this machine still holds it's own with regard to doing COMPUTER work. I do a lot of video converting, do a lot of multi-track music editing and this thing does it fast as I need it to. If any of you are looking to buy this mobo, do it. For an older board, it's totally worth it! Just keep it cleaned/blown out, replace the CPU grease every now and then, and make sure your PS is fresh and supplying the proper voltage/amperage and all will be well. Also, the caps around the CPU have lasted all these years. In my experience, usually the caps around the CPU go back after about 5 years. These seem to be quality capacitors and have lasted NINE YEARS.
