    Eurythmics - Savage CD
This is Annie Lennox at her maddest and best! Here Annie shows she has more issues than the Beano, but also that she has one of the best female voices you will ever hear. Stand out tracks include the raunchy 'I Need A Man', the heart-wrenching 'You Have Placed A Chill', and the quirky but catchy 'Beethoven'. 'I've got a lover' and 'Heaven' will stick in your head all day and the title track 'Savage' is a glimpse into the Eurythmics' odd but genius-like mind. There isnt a bad track here, all offering an insight into the true Eurythmics and not the commercial offerings that came before, this is truly a 'coming of age' album for the pair. You must own this album in your collection - i do and its the only Eurythmics one i have or intend to have.

Van Halen - The Best of Both Worlds
There's so many great tracks on here its a real surprise that apart from 'Jump' Van Halen never had any hits this side of the Atlantic. Eddie Van Halens mind-boggling guitar on 'Eruption' kicks off the album, as it did Van Halens career in 1979 (geez i feel old) and tracks like 'Panama', 'I'll Wait', 'Jamie's Cryin' and 'Finish What Ya Started' show that this stadium rock group (their are some great live tracks on here too to show how good they truly are in concert)can turn their hand to anything. There are new tracks on here as well that take a while to fit in if you're a VH fan but fit in seamlessly if you're sampling the Van Halen brothers for the first time. Theres output on here from both David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar and what Hagar has in vocal range Roth more than makes up for in vocal charisma. A must for all new and old fans alike

The Cult - The Best of Rare Cult
A must for all true Cult fans, the stand out track (of course) being the extended version of their signature She Sells Sanctuary. Borders on self-indulgence at times but if you're a true fan then that wont bother you much at all. A great mix of new songs, lost songs and rare tracks from a band that has been around for over 25 years now and in Ian Astbury they have one of the most powerful voices in rock. A must for fans, good start for new Cult followers.
