Can't Beat the Price
Does exactly what I need it to do as a computer microphone to record conversations. The stand is well balanced and is great for getting the perfect angle to the person(s) speaking.

Be Sure You Understand What this Product is Fo
This connector allows two Ethernet cables to MERGE into one cable or in the other direction to allow one cable to split into 2. But be aware the signal from two into one cannot be used simultaneously. It's one or the other.
I used it to merge 4 wires carrying power and 4 wires carrying data into one 8 wire cable that I then split on the other end back into power and data.

Aimed at an academic audiance
What's good and bad about this book is the same thing. The chapters are academic papers aimed at a scholarly audience. As such they are very narrowly focused, detailed, and thoroughly annotated. For researchers and professional historians with specific interest in these topics, it's a building block in its fields and a source of reference for further research. On the other hand, the general public reader with a curiosity in these topics doesn't need or want the formality or degree of substantiation of facts and ideas put forth by the authors.
