Interesting for me

I haven't read that much yet, but I find it a bit "messy", so far. The family background of E. M. Delafied is quite complicated and I didn't find that the first chapter simplified as I hoped it would. Then the second chapter is E M D's own account of her period in a Belgian convent - I was pleased to read that, but I haven't yet seen how it came to be included in this book. I have a personal interest in E M D's life, so I find the book interesting - I'm not sure it would be to other people.

A very useful tool - quite difficult to find elsewhere.

I haven't had time to use it much, but it seems to be very good quality. I had to slacken the adjusting nut very slightly as being new it was a bit stiff - I shall probably have to retighten after longer use. I think the little plastic cover is a very good idea, as a child might inadvertently open and shut without it !

Very useful

As with all Haynes manuals, this one is very good value. I disagree with one point : I do not think it is a good idea to grease the clutch lever and mechanism as it suggests. Any dust or fine particles of grit will stick to the grease and make a sort of grinding paste thereby accelerating wear. There's no mention of greasing this area in the owners / drivers manual, and I think in the old Haynes manual for Minis (same system) it was suggested better to leave dry. Perhaps a blast of WD40 from time to time... Overall though, for maintaining old vehicles, books like this are really useful - almost essential. Good luck with yours !
