Until the color wheel explodes.
I paid $400 for mine, and $250 for the bulb, which lasted two months before the type W-63 color wheel exploded. I bought an as-is and replaced the color wheel, only to have it happen again. I bought another as-is, and this time, its color wheel had already exploded. The color wheel is definitely the only downfall this projector has, but it's a pretty big one. Based on the availability of replacement parts, my next DLP projector will likely be a Samsung.
