work perfectly, come with clear instructions.
the exact product sells for more than $60 for one unit at my local repco store. they come complete with batteries, which normally cost more than the unit. great value

actually works
straight out of the box, rosin up the bow, tune and play (except for the bridge, see below). for the price of a set of strings we now have a working violin in the family. the tone is poor, but acceptable for learners, and the learner 4/4's at the kids school are $300 and no better. i had to clean up and regroove the bridge, but this happens with expensive violins as well from what i read.
