Works fine as expected

It works fine on macOS, no need to install drivers or additional software to read the discs, keep in mind that macOS comes with only DVD player, no bluray or 4K player, but if you're looking for just read ing or backup your movies this works fine. A 4K upgrade firmware is possible but need some technical skills.
