What I expected
Book is for a course I am taking. Lots of underlining and highlighting but otherwise just fine.

The best, single overview of the history of the most "persistent people" the world has known.
Well research and written overview of this 4,000 year history from Biblical timeHellenic period, Roman expulsion, the rabbiic period, midieval times, to the las 500 years, including the holocaust and reestablishing of Israel as a nation-state. Paul Johnson make this story come alive with a narrative that is actually exciting to read. This was a follow up to his History of the Christians and is its equal for readability and throughness. If you go to one source for a survey of Jewish history, this is it.

Incorrect Description
3 of 3 found this helpful This product is advertised as working with an existing Verizon Wireless agreement ("postpaid), but it will not. My Verizon contract will end in 15 months and virtually all the phones advertised will work only as Prepaid and will not be work under an existing Postpaid agreement. I recommend that anybody purchasing a cell phone to work under an existing contract first get the phone MIID and confirm with Verizon ahead of time. Otherwise you are likely to be disappointed.
