Excellent and correct detail.
The mfgrs have paid serious attention to correct detail, which is refreshing to see. The antlers can be given a more natural spread quite easily by sticking one of those packing "cylinder" jobs in between the hindmost beams; you know, the stuff people often pack fragile goods in. The upswept back beams of caribou antlers are further apart than is easily made in a toy, but since these have some flexibility, you can solve the issue as I did with one of these "peanuts" or whatever they are called.

Way of the Whitetail
The late Dr. Rue III was a lifelong student of deer, as well as an excellent wildlife photographer. His wonderful photographs along with his knowledge and savvy make this a book to treasure for any deer hunter, naturalist, photographer or just plain fan of deer. For whitetail lore, Dr. Rue`s books can`t be beat. He also wrote about a variety of other North American wildlife. His text is engaging; it was his earlier book The World of the Whitetail Deer which I read back in 1971 that turned me into a lifelong student of deer!

A depth of sound information.
This is a good introduction to topics not covered by the more recent, dumbed-down "Anybody Can Farm" type of book so prevalent these days. Although most of the information is in reference to the NorthEast of the U.S., the general principles apply all over and are sound. Refreshing! To farm well actually takes both smarts, dedication and hard work, and there is no room for "Know-it-alls". I strongly resent books which claim "It`s so easy!" because I tend to be the one called to try and pick up the pieces.....such as when their livestock fall ill from easily preventable causes. The emphasis in this book is on soil health and cropping.
