Milwaukee 2571-21 M12 Drain Snake with Battery, Charger and Storage Bucket
09 February 2021
Lightweight, portable, easy to use drain snake
I purchased this cordless drain snake to replace my Ryobi 4100 that had a cable that kinked inside the drum, and the design prohibits replacing it. It was inexpensive; good for the occasional user. Since I manage apartment buildings, I decided to try a somewhat heavier duty unit, hence the Milwaukee M12. I've cleared two tub drains and a roof drain pipe so far and it works well. It isn't an autofeed unit (Milwaukee sells one for $500), but I extend the snake into the pipe with some slack, push the locking cone, and spin the drum - the cable feeds itself easily down the drain. The cable feels very sturdy - much sturdier than my Ryobi model - comparable to my other Ridgid augers. Being lightweight, I'm able to bring it up ladders to snake out gutter drains and transport it easily when walking up four floors carrying it and other plumbing tools, rags, etc. I purchased some extra M12 batteries so that I'm not left with a cable down the pipe if I run out of juice. All in all, I think this was a good purchase for what feels like a professional quality piece of equipment.

Classic Recycled Tire Floor Mat
I own a classic apartment building built in 1928. I think the original mat has been used until now, and it was showing its age! The tile entry has a recess made for this specific size and thickness. This replacement mat is exactly what I needed. It lays flat, looks original, and works well to scrub the bottom of shoes for people entering the building.
RYOBI P320 18-Gauge Cordless Brad Nailer (Tool-Only) 18-Volt ONE+ AirStrike

Good compact alternative to compressor and nail gun
I do kitchen rejuvenation on my rental units, which includes renewing/refacing cabinets, coating countertops with epoxy, and installing LVP floors. I purchased the Ryobi cordless brad nailer to take the place of my usual Porter Cable compressor and nail gun. I used it today, and it seems to do the job. The only disappointment about the tool is that it takes a while to cycle (recharge) between the last brad nail and the next one. Otherwise, I am happy with this, since I can use the same 18+ battery packs with this tool, and it is definitely more convenient to bring to the job sites along with drill, saw, impact driver, and other tools, instead of having to bring the compressor, hose, and nailer - especially on those four floor walk ups!
