Great DAC for the money.
For the money, this is a great DAC. It is solidly built with better than expected sound quality. It compares very favorably to the Schiit Modi 3, which is 35% more expensive. It also compares favorably, and is almost indistinguishable from, my 6 year old MyDAC that is also an outstanding DAC, but which costs $400 six years ago. Unless the rest of your audio chain has very high quality (ie. expensive) gear, this DAC will not be the weak link in your audio chain.

Purchase this product for its features and performance, not its value. The sound is superb, but only if you have complimentary good amp and speakers.
5 of 7 found this helpful I replace an existing Marantz AV8801 with the latest model AV8805. The way standards change so rapidly, anything more than five years old is out of date, even if it still works. The AV8805 is a much more reliable product than the AV8801, has better sound, handles 4K HDCP2.2, and the latest HDMI standard, as of today.

Works like a charm
10 of 10 found this helpful This item is solidly constructed, easy to install, and works like a charm. While most people could fabricate one of these antennas in their basement, all you would save is maybe $15 or so - and then only if they did everything right the first time and had no rework. Hardly worth spending the time for so little savings.
