Excellent Value
This drive works flawlessly. It's very quiet and it's perfect for saving files for archiving and easy access. I highly recommend this drive!

Excellent SSD
I replaced the hard drive in my wife's laptop that was failing with this SSD. With a USB to SATA cable adapter, it was super easy to clone the hard drive to the SSD using the Samsung data transfer software (a free download from the Samsung website). However, on our slow computer, it took over 10 hours to transfer all the data so I ran the software over night.
After the transfer, it took just a few minutes to replace the hard drive with the SSD and reboot the computer. It worked perfectly and it's significantly faster than the hard drive in reading and writing data.
If you need to speed up a computer, the most recommended upgrade in the past used to be to add more RAM. Now I think that replacing a hard drive with a SSD makes more sense!
