These grill covers make our mid-1970s speakers look GREAT.
2 of 2 found this helpful These grill inserts are EXCELLENT. My wife bought a pair of JBL Classic L100 speakers in the mid-1970s, and the original foam on the grill frame had deteriorated long ago. These new inserts are an exact fit into the wood frame that attaches to the speaker cabinet. The inserts are not a replica of the original foam grills, and were never advertised as such. We ordered black cloth, and the inserts look stunning. The inserts were packaged well and arrived in perfect shape. After attaching the new grill inserts, the speakers have regained their dignified look. They were looking a bit scruffy, and we thought about shopping for replacement speakers. With these new grill covers, we are no longer planning to replace the speakers. After looking several times on various internet sites for replacement grill inserts, it appears that the options are limited. My wife and I are quite happy with these inserts. I give these my unqualfied and highest recommendation.
