Yep. You should buy it.
I spent countless hours researching both analog and virtual analog polyphonic "full keybed" keyboards. Finally I got a Prophet 08 and haven't looked back.
It is virtually an impossible challenge to create a bad sound on this keyboard. It never sounds tinny, flat or boring. Does it have its own character and strengths? Of course.
In my opinion, when you first BEGIN using it, it is not the type of synth you can grab knobs and twist to create unique sounds. But, once you understand how the parameters logically impact each other—the synthetic sky is the limit.
Do yourself a favor and drop the large amount of case required for this warm, lush and unique instrument.
