Quality converter for variable voltage alternator cars
This DC to DC converter has been designed well. It has all the features needed to connect up a second battery and let you know what is happening. It avoids the extra cost of displays and gauges and just performs the task required - keeping the second battery well charged and protecting the first battery from being run down. It charges at the full 25 Amps even with my variable voltage alternator. I hope it lasts on the rough tracks - time will tell.

Arrived very quickly. High quality replacements that exactly matched the old ones. Was able complete the job perfectly.

Decent high current 5V power supply.
Exactly as I expected - electronics encapsulated inside a decent heat sink. Output voltage is stable. Is ideal for my application of providing reliable power to a number of Arduinos and a colour screen in an electric vehicle. The higher 10 amp output current supplied by this unit replaced three other smaller power supplies that were not really suitable for vehicle use. Reliability - early days but I'm hopeful!
