A thoroughly enjoyable prequel to The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit!

For anyone who has read The Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit, this book adds detail to the first and second ages of middle earth and explains the history of middle earth from its very beginnings and introduces a wealth of characters to add to the background of The Lord of the Rings.

Brilliant addition to The Horus Heresy novel series! A must read for fans!

I have almost finished this book now and have been absolutely hooked from page one! If you are a fan of The Horus Heresy series of novels this is a must read! And if you've not read any books in the series and are into Warhammer 40,000 then these novels add a huge amount of backround story for gamers.
