Not much of an upgrade, unless you factory system has very poor response to begin with.
This is a really attractive product and I love the concept and I really wanted it to work....however it wasn't right for me. If your factory radio has a decent amount of power and decent bass response, this isn't really going to be an improvement (especially for vehicles with 6.5 or 6 x 9 factory speakers). It definitely adds volume and reineforcment in the upper sub frequency range, but it doesn't hit the lower octaves and distortion levels are a little high at upper volume levels. I'd imagine this would work better in a trunk than under a seat, as you'll probably get some additional bass reinforcement. If your car has a weak factory headunit and poor low end response, this could work, but if that's not the case, don't waste your time.
