Casio quality

Bought the fx-991EX to replace a very aging fx-5000F. As a programmer and hardware engineer the BASE-N calculation mode is important. Many Casio calculators don't have the mixed base feature of the fx-5000F, but the fx-991EX has it. Additionally the binary display mode is very helpful - spaces between nibbles to make bit identification easier. The display is crisp and clear, though I'm not a huge fan of the font used (would have preferred a sans-serif legacy calculator style, or a choice!). There's a good set of constants that are grouped into logical sets, plus conversion of standard units - that's all very helpful. Casio provide the user manual online - definitely worth checking out what's available. But for just a little more than the usual fx-83 + lower fx-991 series calculators this is very good value.
