Top quality, reliable, easy installation and easy programming

I used this to replace a wall-mounted motion-sensing switch that frequently become blocked by objects on the kitchen counter which sits just below the wall switch. Having the sensor on the ceiling allows for the function to work flawlessly after synchonization with a Lutron Maestro wireless wall switch. I've already been using two other of these ceiling-mounted sensors for the past five (batteries still fine) so I had some experience to tell me that these are worth paying for. Re mounting, if you want to flush-mount as I did, there's no need to spend an additional $20 for the flush-mount kit. Simply use a 3" hole cutter to make a 3" diameter hole in ceiling sheetrock and enlarge the hole a little (using a Stanley knife or sheetrock saw). Just ensure that there will be a tight (not loose) fit in this hole for the plastic housing that is included with the sensor. You can then insert the sensor and twist 1/2" clockwise and it snaps into place. It's so light there's no danger of these falling out of the ceiling hole (after 5 years and several earthquakes, there's no sign of any loosening in my existing sensors).
