Guide to Contentment by Fulton Sheen
I bought it because I collect most ALL of Sheen's books... Sheen and I have something unusual in common: I was on Television during the time of his award-winning show "Life is worth living." This, most popular of all his radio and TV broadcasts, ran from 1952 to 1957... During this time, I was doing my pioneer TV Talk Show on WALA-TV in Mobile, Alabama.
Sheen's network TV show was up against Milton Berle, "Mr. Television," at that time - and Sheen won an Emmy!
... If you have read this far, you're probably thinking, "this guy must be old."... But I'm only 86...
Even so, I was drawn to the section of Sheen's book entitled "The Passing of Years," ... Here's a quote from that section: "Age is more merciful than youth. Almost all fruits grow sweeter as they approach the time of plucking."
No matter what your age, I believ you'll enjoy this book, as I have.
