Stuart Turner Wasteflo WC 1 Macerator - WC only (46626)

Engineered to last and be easy to service

The macerator came very well packaged with clear instructions how to install it. The reasons I decided on the Stuart Turner macerator instead of a Saniflo unit are firstly, the design incorporates all the mechanical bits in an easily accessible and removable cassette for maintenance and clearing of any blockages that might occur. Secondly, the macerator blades are so designed that the unit is far less likely to suffer from a blockage that might stop the blades operating than are other macerators. Thirdly on price, there are cheaper unbranded alternative makes and, of course, the Saniflo brand is far more expensive, but the Stuart Turner sits nicely in the middle of these cost extremes to provide a very nicely, well thought out engineered design which I expect to be reliable for years and this gives peace of mind knowing that if there should be any problems then servicing and repair will be fully supported by Stuart Turner Ltd. My only reservation is the noise of the macerator when it operates did suprise me somewhat, although it only lasts but a moment or so. Since the unit is sitting on a tiled bathroom floor I think it might have helped if I had seated it on rubber feet or sheet to isolate the vibrations from being amplified by the ceramic tiled floor.
