PCIE Lanes for Cheap
3 of 3 found this helpful I've had this since it launched back in 2017, its been great. I have 3 huge nvme drives, a dual NIC, and an RTX2080. I use it for gaming, adobe lightroom, and all manner of projects.
Its extremely good at the desktop stuff. As to gaming, I have found that at 1440p DOTA2 only gets 135FPS, most games get about 140FPS, DOOM2016 gets the max of 200FPS.
For a CPU that isn't intended for gaming, I find that its pretty good. I am told that the downside is latency, but I have only percieved this in minecraft, where it is very bad if I max out the view distance.
At any rate, with the prices for this and x399 being so low, the point of this review is to let you know that you can use the 1900x to do a lot of stuff, and for cheap if you need that I/O.
