Olympus VN-3100PC Digital Voice Recorder. Works Great!

Lightweight with Great Features

Pros: Multiple folders with ability to swap recordings between different folders, excellent battery life, good sound quality and excellent mic sensitivity with or without an external mic. Very easy to use...has an excellent display. Cons: Can’t move recordings back and forth between computer and the recorder. Must use Olympus Digital Wave Player to move/copy recordings to computer and it’s a one-way deal. File Explorer won’t work. Neither Wave Player nor File Explorer can be used to add recordings (of any type) to the recorder. Olympus Digital Wave Player takes a little getting used to, but once you’ve got the system down, it’s reliable.

Best in its class

Quality product with lots of features that help make installation a breeze. Top of my list is having the Castle Link interface to make setup via the computer both easy and accurate.

Durable, but needs modifying

The frame is nicely made and holds the GoPro Hero 4 snugly. The only problem I had was the openings for both the Settings and the Capture buttons are too small. This issue, coupled with the fact that both of these holes are fractionally misaligned with the actual buttons on the camera, causes the frame to randomly trigger the buttons whenever the frame mounting screw is tightened. I resolved this issue by slightly enlarging both holes and the frame now works perfectly. Hope this helps.
