Incredible documentary
1 of 1 found this helpful When I was a child I recall a visit to Disneyland, where we were told, in a futuristic setting, that "possibly in our own lifetimes man may actually go to the moon". Only 7 years later we began this quest in earnest.
I lived this stunning period of human history (mostly while in Engineering School) but only knew a small part of what is presented in "From The Earth To The Moon" (great title from Jules Verne - which I had read about the time of my Disneyland visit). Although very long, I had trouble turning it off so that I could get my sleep. I highly recommend it, and am watching it again with my 12 y.o. grandson (which he is enjoying immensely). This should be required viewing for all middle school students, who presently have little concept of what was actually accomplished. I believed it is indispensable viewing for adults, as well; even those who, like me, lived through this period. I have two copies - one to loan.

Standout in my WWII era mancave.
This 1944 calendar, a tasteful reproduction of a GI targeted pinup calendar, is also the correct calendar for upcoming 2018. Get prepared for next year with a quality, novel and classy calendar priced comparably to the usual offerings we see every year.

Excellent individual stories of key events in the Pacific theater of WWII.
This book is a compilation, from multiple sources, of stories by key players in the Pacific Air war against Japan in WWII. The writing is generally excellent and the separate stories are presented in chronological order from 1941 through 1945, to represent the key events in the Japanese conquest through their ultimate defeat.
