Not bright, arrived broken
4 of 4 found this helpful These require 4 D cell batteries, which seems like they'd be powerful. Not so, I have several penlight flashlights which operate on AAA batteries which are brighter (and lighter).
The LEDs in these units are probably 10 years old, not modern technology. One of the LEDs didn't work. It is unlikely that these were tested.
Out of the box, the internal plastic, the defuser, needed to be repaired. So I did so. But the plastic broke when I disassembled them, because even the plastic is of a low quality.
I ended up throwing these away. I enjoyed the adventure, but wasn't worth the $15.
