Soapdish
As you would expect from the film's title, "Soapdish" is a spoof of daytime TV soap operas and it is funny to the bone. Sally Field and Kevin Kline are perfectly cast for their roles. Cathy Moriarty plays the scheming, jealous actress and almost steals the show with some of the best expressions and asides I have ever seen. You should watch "Soapdish" at least two or three times because you will pick up a subtle but very funny wink or line of dialog you may have missed before. I had seen it in the theater and I have it on VHS but the DVD is much better. Don't miss this comedic gem.

The Peacemaker is non-stop action!
1 of 1 found this helpful If you like lots of action, you'll really like "The Peacemaker, starring George Clooney and Nicole Kidman. The action is infused with moments of pathos as a victim of Bosnia - Serbia warfare witnesses the killing of his wife and child.
The story is interlaced with Russian bad guys and stolen atomic weapons that wind up in a sinister plot involving a stolen train, great car chases and mass murder in America. I bought the DVD because the plot twists and turns beautifully and I wanted to see it again. I actually enjoyed it more the second time around.

A Busby Berkely fan's dream!
This a is superb collection of the intricate and unorthodox dance numbers filmed at Warner Brothers during the 1930s. Busby Berkely invented and directed the overhead camera technique for years and this set of DVDs has been beautifully and lovingly transferred from film to this modern medium. The Warner Brothers orchestra, known for its wonderful brass section, never sounded better. The collection includes several movies in their entirety and a disc that features just the dance numbers. I would have liked more written information about the techniques used and more about the stars. Don't miss out on this one.
