Not What I Expected
The author recounts his life as a new age medium, or psychic in this book. He talks about his abilities and his powers and then goes on to talk about Jesus Christ.
I was a little disapointed with this book. The author says certain aspects of the New Age psychics are bad, but he never really explains why they are bad. Things like silencing your thoughts and making your mind still. He says doing this is a bad thing, but he doesn't explain why it is bad.
His story on being a psychic is interesting. He talks about how psychics can do what they do and apparently a psychic isn't born with 'spiritual abilities,' but has to develop them through techniques and meditation. In other words, anybody can be a psychic.
The one thing that I did get from the book is that if a psychic tells you something about your future, it is probably a lie. From what the author says, a psychic can tell you things that have happened or that you plan on doing, but telling the future is a different story. If you want to know what I am talking about, just read the book... You will be SHOCKED at how a psychic gets their information, it is actually a little scary.
All in all, I would've liked more information on why certain things are bad, not just a description of them. If spiritual things are your bag then I highly recomend any book by Maurice Rawlings or Ray Comfort.

This Book Is What You Need.
This book is so in depth about everything a camper needs to know... It talks about predicting weather, how to fish, what to pack, what to eat, where to go, how to get there, map reading, dealing with medical injuries, kayak/canoe camping, etc. It basically tells you every possible thing a camper would need to consider when going camping.
One of the nice things about it, it comes with detachable check lists that you can go over before leaving for your trip. The book is very easy reading... It is obviously broken into chapters and subchapters, but then it has separate notes on each page, like pertaining regulations, advice, etc. And if you don't want to read every page of every chapter, at the end of each chapter there is a summary of points which talks about the most important things per chapter.
I read this book in a few days. Obviously, if you know what kind of camping you will be doing, certain chapters are skippable. Pick this up, it's worth the 5 bucks.

The Best Kept Secret Revealed

This book was written by Maurice Rawlings, one of the most qualified heart surgeons in America, after he witnessed heart attack victims die and come back to life. If your asking how can somebody die and come back to life? Well, sometimes when somebody has a heart attack, they become clinically dead, but are able to be resuscitated with CPR.
If you are a true believer this book will bring you to tears and reaffirm your faith as you read about the glorious shining city where people are brought back to their dead parents and meet Jesus... truly wonderful near death experience stories.
If you are atheist or of a different religion, or just plain evil, I think you should read this book, because it will scare the hell right out of you. Some of Dr. Rawlings patients do die, and when they come back, they tell a frightening story of the disparities of HELL. And contrary to what the hell on earth is like, there is no party down there... its dark, its hot, and its not fun.
I also recommend Maurice Rawlings other book "Beyond Death's Door." It's not as good as 'To Hell and Back', but it was the first book he wrote, and there are some more stories about near death experiences and the afterlife.
Remember this book was written by a Doctor. At the beginning of his "study" he was a devout atheist and had no concern about the afterlife. His own personal experiences have changed him 360 degrees.
