Solid mount, solves the problem
Remarkably solid mount, does what I need it to do.

Sometimes intermittent contact between capacitive switch an finger.
Capacitive “switch” is intermittent, and highly dependent on good contact with skin of middle finger. Sweaty hands or puffy fat fingers would probably work well.
Recommend a design improvement: raise the two metal contacts slightly, just at or slightly above the surrounding plastic to ensure more reliable skin contact. Otherwise a great idea!
