Lightweight device with good stills
The zoom is decent. Still shots are good. Light to carry. Easy to use. Has a nice appearance. Built pretty solid. But the video quality is still, sadly, mediocre or "meh" OK not great. If you want better VIDS there are much better for a little more money. I'll use this camera for more aggressive situations.

Good lighting and up close views
Not a bad device. Will bring up objects super close. Great if you're into jewelry or fixing watches and other small appliances and tiny electronic work. I don't have a lot of use for it myself but it will come in handy when needed.
