C&Sng - Relive the Waning Days of Colorado Narrow Gauge
1 of 1 found this helpful This book is everything I'd hoped it would be. I'm fascinated with the C&S having visited both the Georgetown Loop RR and the Alpine Tunnel. The latter was an intimate experience, just my son, a close friend, and I. We had the whole area to ourselves that day. I could not help but be caught up in the magic of the moment as we stopped at the Palisades and explored the old road bed and the toll road nearby. At the top were the ruins of the old engine house, hotel, even the turntable, and the collapsed tunnel entrance. (I digress.) This book has excellent photographs and enough text to give the reader an excellent flavor of the C&S from its incorporation to the end of operations as a narrow gauge railroad. It's an excellent reference book for modeling and getting a sense of history; an easy read; and a great book to just relax with and look at the numerous photographs. To me, it was a wonderfull purchase and one I and my family will enjoy.

Not what I intended it for, but it works...sort of.
The Honda's head support/head rest was designed to avoid whiplash, but the designers went overboard. People of a certain height when sitting in the front passenger seat find that they must sit with their head thrust forward. (Ouch!) We had hoped that the pillow might mitigate the problem. It didn't; it exacerbated the problem. Should've known.
Here is the rest of the story - However, I am a tall person and immune for some reason to the Honda design fax pas. One day while driving on the interstate, I was getting drowsy. So, I pulled off at a safe place, shut off the engine and reclined my seat. Then I thought of the headrest pillow and, TADA! For the first time EVER I could nap with my neck supported while the seat was reclined. No more wrapped up towels or windbreakers. This worked perfectly. I am sure the product designers hadn't initially planned it that way, but it works. Go figger.
However, my wife is still uncomfortable in her seat. Sigh.

A great replacement component for a great machine
1 of 1 found this helpful I ordered this because I broke the last one - my bad; not the paddle’s. We love our ice cream maker and it has served us well for years and should continue to do so.
